About the Sacred Language Symbols

The sacred language is an ancient language that belongs to the esoteric tradition, an ancestral language that existed even before languages began their development.
It was born before the subdivision of logics: it allows one to move from one logic to another, this is why it’s considered a magical language.

It’s a language of power, of magic, of ritual, a language whose signs, sounds and movements have a direct action on the living. It engages the totality of the senses, both the external ones as well as the internal ones.

It’s defined “sacred” because it acts as a “bridge” language, used to translate human concepts in divine concepts.
If archetypes could be written, they could only be written in this language.
Those who use it consciously act both on the physical and the non-physical world.
It has eight different ways it can be read, they also correspond to different levels of perception.

It’s used as a means to connect with Divine energies.
In Damanhur this language is studies by each citizen and used as a base for many artistic expressions. The signs become the trace upon which to develop paintings and decorations; the sounds are the rhythmic bases of many musical compositions; the movements are used for dynamic meditations and give life to the Sacred Dance.

Shama Viola has cultivated a deep relationship with the Sacred Language and used the symbols, along with paintings from Oberto 'Falco' Airaudi, founder of Damanhur, to create her own, unique oracle deck, Bral Talej. She then played with the symbols of the Sacred Language and carefully wove them together harmoniously to create meaningful mandalas which, translated into spoken phrases, are positive affirmations that amplify and project harmony and beauty into the world.
